Niche Research For Dummies

Learning the ins and outs of internet marketing is one thing but becoming an accomplished niche marketer is quite another, it takes a certain skill to find those untapped micro niches that are just waiting to be exploited.

Many people will approach this the opposite way that it should be , first they will find a product that they feel will be a winner then they will try to find the crowd of people to market it to, however, that is the wrong approach, it should be approached the from a different perspective . Any professional affiliate marketer will tell you that you first need to find the hungry crowd and then give them what they want, if you can’t come up with a product or service they want then don’t waste any more time and simply move on.

There are several resources you can use to find these starving markets, like Yahoo Answers or Google Groups but my favorite method of all is to visit forums and look through the various posts, you will be impressed at how many ideas you will come up with in a very easily, then you check out the various affiliate networks such as Commission Junction, Linkshare, Pepperjam or Clickbank and look through their product line for related product to market.

There are also some very sophisticated keyword tools on the market that will do much of the keyword research for you, one such software program that I am aware of is Micro Niche Finder and in all honesty I don’t have a clue how it manages to do what it does but it is capable of finding many niches from a simple keyword that you put in to the tool , a micro niche is a very targeted niche within a larger niche

a good example would be something like “winter sports” and a medium broad niche would be the obvious sports such a snow shoeing skating, snowboarding and a Micro niche would be something like “vokle freestyle skis” and that’s the kind of Micro buy amoxil niche that the software will find for you, it really is an amazing time saver.

There are also many free niche tools that should not be ignored my favorite of which is Google’s own keywords tool, the only down fall is that you’ll have to do the brainstorming on your part versus that of Micro Niche Finder, however, it certainly should not be overlooked

Another thing I should mention before I forget is the fact that micro niches are usually longtail key phrases that are much easier to rank for in the natural search results as well as adwords due to the lack of competition and therefore makes it much more easier for you to gain a foot hold in those markets.
