Traffic Tracking Tips
ByWhile looking at other people’s opportunities, which I spend quite a lot of time doing, I see some fundamental errors made by marketers.
I am always amazed, when looking at the links presented to me by prospective marketers, at how little use is made of tracking links. The first question that occurs to me is how they know where their Traffic is coming from? If you’re only promoting at a single advertising resource, then of course you know that those visitors are coming from there, but you’re promoting using a number of different resources if you have any intention of being amoxil generic successful.
At any point in time I am advertising my numerous web pages, whether they are squeeze pages, sales pages of my own, or affiliate sales pages, in at least 10 different types of resources – this may include ezines, safelists, list membership sites, pay-per-click, classified sites, blogs, forums, social networking sites, and in each case more than one. It is completely impossible for me to determine which resources are working for me, and whether certain kinds of ads work better than others, without using a tracking facility. Both TrackThatAd and MyViralSurfer provide a facility whereby one can add a keyword to the end of the tracking link so that one can determine, not only where the Visitor is coming from, but which ad, and even which link in the ad if more than one was employed, was clicked. It means I am better informed to make investment decisions regarding time and money allocation to resources. Notice the ‘trackart’ keyword above? It tells me that if anyone clicks on generic amoxil the links above, so I can tell that those visitors were reading this article. I could also add other keywords or elements that tell me more about the specific ad where I have used more than one, as in classified sites.
If you’re NOT employing tracking links, all of this important information is completely invisible to you, and it also means that your entire marketing process is taking place in the dark.
