Cutting your IT costs

I want to help you save money and I am not going to ask you for anything in return.

Every year I save thousands of pounds by not spending any money on software. I was evaluating a system to run my business and I was really disappointed to find Sage Software was going to leave me with no money to spend on the essential tools I need to get the job done. I am lucky enough to be running most of my key business activities using software that cost me nothing. You will not learn this trick on any business course. I am greatly saddened by the number of people in small businesses who are not aware of this approach.

Follow this approach to copy me and start saving money.

* Spare ten minutes every day to search on the term for the tool you need.
* Capture the detail of everything you find (and your experiences) on Evernote.com (Just spend about ten minutes every day trying out your findings).
* It should take you about a month to find all of the tools you will ever need and be up and running on free software.

To get you going here is a small sample of the tools I use every day to get the job done. Chances are you have heard or are using the software tools I have listed on the right, I have done this to help you easily identify the tools you may want to evaluate as replacements which are listed on the left.

More soon.
