Use The Power Of Supply And Demand On EBay
ByEvery day millions of buyers access their own country’s registered eBay website. For example:
eBayers in the USA access eBay.com
eBayers in the UK access eBay.co.uk
eBayers in Australia access eBay.au etc
This is common practice, but it doesn’t mean that eBayers in Spain can’t access eBay.com or generic amoxil eBay.au. What eBay site do you most often access?
You may be thinking – so what? How will I make money visiting other eBay sites?
Read on.
Here’s an example.
You’re looking for a Nokia n70 Phone.
Your search returns thousands of listings including accessories.
Write that number down.
Now go to your eBay’s home page. Scroll to the bottom and click on a different country and search for the same product and you may notice that the number of listings returned differs significantly from the previous.
What this is showing is that there can be a big difference in the supply and demand for the same items on different eBay websites.
It was my friend Peter from Australia who having read some of the articles at Auction Expert told me about this profitable enterprise.
When he noticed this difference, he started making money from it straight away.
So how did he start to put the difference in supply and demand into practice?
His first experience was very interesting. He wanted to buy a used Palm Treo 600 PDA Phone for his own use and searching on eBay.au and then on eBay.co.uk he noticed a big difference in selling price which he put down to differences in supply and demand.
Orange sold thousands of the Palm Treo 600 in the UK compared to the Australian market and in this case the more there is of a product the less demand there is in the market place and therefor a lower price paid.
On eBay.co.uk the Palm was selling for £50.00 to £60.00 but on eBay.au they were selling for AU$210.00 to AU$250.00 so he bought one Treo at £52.00 paid shipping of £9.00 for a £61.00 total.
He listed his Treo on eBay.au and sold it for AU$212.00 making a profit of £28.00 and it didn’t take him more than half an hour to do so.
He did this several times and made a profit each and every time.
And you don’t have to be an Auction Expert to be able to do this.
eBay Research Methods
Make sure that you do your research on eBay before you buy anything.
Login to your eBay account, go to “Advanced Search” and use “Completed Listings Only”. Here you will find the price of any item that has already been sold under “Buy It Now” or “Auction”.
Find the price gap of the item your researching on different eBay sites.
Try to stick with items that are simple to ship or post and are small and valuable and be sure to check out the seller’s feedback rating before buying or bidding.
