The first thing that most Clickbank marketers look at is the gravity of a product they are considering promoting. While gravity can indicate products that are converting for affiliates, gravity does not indicate the conversion rates or return on investment.This is a very important thing to consider, high gravity products are obviously making a nice chunk of change for the vendors, whether they are profitable for affiliates is a different story.

First thing you will notice is that high gravity products are swamped with marketers promoting them, you see its a vicious cycle, the more marketers promoting the higher the gravity but the competition can become very fierce very quickly. Don’t fear just yet, competition is part of the game and it should not discourage you in this business but breaking through with a high gravity product might make your job harder than it should.

In the end, it won’t matter what gravity a product has if you do not perform thorough research. Finding a product is easy as you can quickly search the Clickbank market place but finding a niche that is not saturated is critical. Think about the market and sub niches that are not being targeted by a huge number of affiliate and promote to them. Walk in their shoes and understand why they would want to buy the product or service you are promoting, unless you align with your market you will not make the kind of money you are wanting on Clickbank.

    Very good article. I pesonally feel that finding a niche that isn’t crowded with affiliates is of big importance. The easy markets are over-priced and this reduces the conversions. It also makes it impossible for people with a low budget to promote their products.
